Have you considered “alternative” entertainment ideas for your wedding? Last week, at my cousin’s wedding, I was floored by an amazing performance by a belly dancer!
The performance was amazing! She came out with a lit candelabra on her head and a sword in her hand! Needless to say, she had everyone’ s undivided attention. Over a few songs she got everyone dancing and having a great time.
That got me to thinking about other forms of entertainment that many couples are integrating into their weddings these days. Last year, at my brother’s wedding, there was an amazing bartender (apart from the “regular” bartenders) who only made pre-prohibition-era cocktails, and whose stories were as fascinating as his drinks were delicious. It really got conversations rolling between the families!
So what do you think? Is adding an extra conversation or dance starter for you and your big day?

That belly dancer sounds like a lot of fun! I don’t think it will go with my theme, but I’ll definitely mention it to my friend who just got engaged.
