Yes it’s kinda gross and frustrating. But it’s also undeniably adorable.
Can’t decide between vanilla cake with lemon buttercream and chocolate cake with hazelnut ganache? Have both! Mix and match flavors with a “cupcake cake,” a popular alternative to the standard sliced confection. Go to your local bakery today and see what they can do for you!

Try having edible centerpieces at your pre-wedding events. They won’t go to waste, look great, and taste even better.

A tiered wedding cake looks beautiful on your wedding day but what if you can’t afford a large cake? What if you do not have enough guests to eat all of that cake? Many couples today are saving money by using a fake cake for their wedding. A fake cake is often a styrofoam cake decorated with real icing or fondant. The bottom layer of the cake is real for the “Cutting of the Cake” the other tiers are a “fake cake”. After the cutting of the cake the cake is brought to the back and a sheet cake is sliced for guests. Guests won’t even know the difference! What do you think about this idea?

The Food Network is having “Wedding Week” everyday this week. You can watch shows on foods to serve as well as cake making competitions. Check your local listings to find out what channel the Food Network is in your area. You can re-create recipes for your wedding or engagement party as well as see unique wedding cake designs! We just love the “Challenge” competitions with wedding cakes!

Signature Cocktails are one way to make your wedding unique. It is a drink designed by you and your fiancé! You can even choose colors to match your wedding. For example if you will be using blue as one of your colors you can create a drink using Blue Curacao.
Your drink can also be given a creative name. Names such as “Love Potion,” “Blushing Bride” are all popular names to use. We like the idea of making your drink more personal by including your name in the drink. For example if will be Mr. & Mrs. Smith your drink can be called a “Smithtini.”

I can’t stop staring at this, or smiling. I guess you could use it as a cake topper (a wedding I attended recently had Mudler and Scully (below) figurines as a cake topper!), but even if it’s not functional, it’s still awesome!
